Job Responsibilities
Lead Design Team:
- Direct and guide a team of design managers to ensure the team is on track.
- Direct design teams and define team resources to ensure successful implementation of design excellence within an operating environment;
- Ensure stringent compliance to company policies and procedures and statutory requirements;
- Develop a strong culture of integrity, teamwork, passion, creativity, respect, and strong project delivery;
Project Delivery:
- Supervise design team members to manage design consultants and contractor appointments
- Draft, review and oversee design briefs, technical briefs and technical deliverables.
- Direct deliverables from the Consultants with respect to brief and company guidelines
- Direct and provide direction on design submissions from consultants
- Monitor and report on progress of interior design work on projects, and identify opportunities and challenges
- Direct the review of all contractor material and sample submissions and shop drawings
- Monitor quality of off and on-site fabrication from an design perspective
- Liaise with the project team with respect to cost and time constraints and solutions
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with internal clients to develop scope-of-work briefs and design visions
- Advise internal clients on interior design aspects, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, and design schemes.
- Obtain approvals of design milestones from key internal and corporate stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal support teams (Finance, Sourcing and Procurement, Operations, etc.) to drive design excellence across property
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- 4-year Degree from an accredited interior design or architecture program
Experience:
- 15 years+ global experience with proven track record in handling luxury resort projects or large-scale mixed-use developments at major consultancy firms and developers
- Experience and knowledge of all aspects of Integrated Resort design, including space planning, interior design, FF&E, materials;
- Extensive experience implementing design processes, including driving current consultants’ practices, scope and abilities;
- Experience with managing teams and complex projects, including design team organizational structures and resources
- Experience with broad, complex teams delivering projects for large-scale commercial buildings
- Experience in large-scale Integrated Resorts and/or Regulated Casino Environments is preferred, but not critical

- Ability to convey subject matter expertise in design
- Strong leadership skills in communication, strategic planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong interpersonal skills to relate well with all project-related functions, consultants and contractors
- Complex problem solving and creative solution skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines
- Outstanding executive presence and senior stakeholder management communication skills.
- Use of Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Photoshop and basic Autocad
- Robust overall knowledge of delivering within Hospitality and in particular regulated Gaming operations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
