JOB SCOPE

  • Explain and describe key selling features of the property to prospective client/ bookers. Make presentations, conduct tours to various groups and organizations explaining and promoting our facilities and services
  • Create, maintain and update all show files. Including creating proposals and contracts for clients
  • Facilitate the contracting process, with all paperwork being properly distributed to all departments

  • Organize the maintenance of prospect files, listing pertinent information
  • Recommend prospective customers for active solicitation by reviewing and updating files
  • Solicit and built sales pipelines; follow up on leads; create proposals
  • Execute pre-qualification and rate negotiations, establish files, issue contracts, process bookings and appropriate follow-up correspondence with clients
  • Maintain frequent contacts with established and prospective global clients
  • Represent Marina Bay Sands at business trade shows, presentations, sales trips, etc.
  • Responsible to review ROI for Sales trip leads and keeping information up to date
  • Identify opportunities & organize activities that will stimulate and retain existing business
  • Manage the planning of all promotional efforts including sales trips, mass mailings, cooperative advertising, off and on site client parties and training sessions
  • Handle Group customer complaints and comments; follow up with appropriate department
  • Achieve MICE Food and Beverage and Meeting Room Rental Goal on a quarterly basis
  • Perform account retention within an existing database of specified territory by making presentations to decision makers on repeat lists with trace dates set and past trace dates followed up

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • College/ degree in Hotel Management, Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum three to four years of experience in Hotel &/ Group Sales preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent organizational skills to able to multi-task
  • Possess excellent public speaking skills and maintain a professional image and enthusiastic attitude at all times
  • Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages. Apply concepts of basic algebra
  • Get along with fellow Team Members and work as a team
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies
