JOB SCOPE

Summary of Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in monitoring and maintaining all related Electrical systems and equipment to ensure uninterrupted services to the property.
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in planning preventive and corrective maintenance of related equipment and ensuring smooth operations with industrial best practices and Government guidelines

Job Responsibilities

Technical Competency

  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in monitoring and maintaining normal operation including switching of all Low voltage switchboards, Sub-boards and distribution boards.
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager to oversee any other systems or equipment (Lightning Warning System, Aircraft Warning lights, PV system, UPS, Lighting Control System etc.) as assigned to accordingly.
  • Direct technicians on routine maintenance and urgent repair works in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulations. Closely monitor the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possible. Ensure that all records of maintenance and testing are kept.
  • Coordinate and supervise external contract work as assigned by immediate supervisor to ensure their works are compliant with the required specifications and standards to meet objectives
  • Conduct daily on-site physical inspection and monitor the work progress of all defects rectification; identify any equipment defect, and report to the (Assistant) Manager for corrective actions immediately
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager to plan, arrange and shutdown the electrical panels for servicing.
  • Assist department in inspecting of new development and consolidating punch list
  • Manage store, equipment and tools
  • Review Maximo data with (Assistant) Manager to identify areas of improvements & productivity
  • Responsible for implementing and enforcing safe work practices based on the Risk Assessment
  • Work with (Assistant) Manager to create, review & refine SOPs

Functional Competency

  • Work closely and liaise with all departments in property in project and maintenance coordination to minimize disruption
  • Allocate work to technicians and ensure all jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards & SOPs.
  • Conduct regular meetings and coordinate with the maintenance contractor to resolve and improve the service of relevant systems
  • Responsible for procuring of all essential equipment, tools, spares and supplies for the team and ensure that proper spares and supplies inventory are kept and updated regularly
  • 24/7 stand-by for emergency call outs and weekend duty for MEP system
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in conducting performance appraisal of all team members under supervision
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in Vendor performance review
  • Review and streamline all purchase requests with procurement department
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and within the realm of the company vision, mission and values
  • Ensure that all essential records of maintenance and testing are documented properly and stored
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in the preparation of tender documents and specifications
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required

Leadership Competency

  • Lead a team of technicians/engineers to deliver quality up-keeping of all related areas for the facilities complex
  • Assist the (Assistant) Manager in planning of job duration and assessing manpower, materials, tools and equipment, special services required for the job.
  • Take over responsibilities as and when the (Assistant) Manager is not available
  • Enforce all safety programs and training with regards to WSH
  • Provide and review training and orientation programs for Team Members

Job Requirements

  • Diploma / NITEC / Certifications in Electrical or Facilities Management. 
  • Following certifications and working experience will be an advantage
    • Minimum 3 years of working experience in casino, hotel, integrated resorts or facilities management environment.
    • Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) Grade 7 or 8
    • Knowledge of IBM Maximo System
  • Be able to work outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to fatigue, noise, dust, and be able to access all areas of the property including those at height.
  • As this is an operational role, it may involve frequent prolong standing, stretching, bending and kneeling.
  • Able to converse and write in English.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office knowledge.
