JOB SCOPE

  • Completely understand and maintain all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programmes
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance and sanitation of the establishment through the training of employees whist maintaining a positive and productive working environment
  • Ensure that all front of house equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant preventative maintenance programme
  • Oversee and ensure that company policies on employment performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
  • Address guest issues during service according to company procedure, and report to the Restaurant/General Manager
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements and managing employee behavior in accordance with the regulations
  • Manpower planning for the Bar service
  • Manage stock control
  • Maximize sales within the restaurant in liaison with the Sommelier and Waiting team
  • Detailed knowledge of the full bar menu, and able to give comprehensive descriptions of all products
  • A detailed understanding of the wine and spirit list
  • Proactively communicate with the front of house team regarding menu changes, availabilities and specials
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Ensure that the selection process for applicants is compliant with company procedures
  • Responsible for on boarding, training and integration of new starters
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with company policy
  • Comply and implement all health and safety requirements
  • To assist in the management of the front of house team to ensure the smooth running of the Bar
  • Maximizing sales opportunities throughout the bar, restaurant, hotel
  • To be well presented at all times and to represent the external face of the restaurant
  • To maintain Order of Service standards
  • To carry out all tasks in a reasonable time frame to ensure the smooth running of the areas
  • Cash reconciliation and control

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an integrated resort, restaurant group, private club or luxury hotel chain.
  • Possess a comprehensive set of F&B service and operations skills and a focus on VIP customer service.
  • Enjoys problem solving and can think outside-the-box in difficult situations.
  • Team oriented approach to management with a mindset of open communications.
  • Capable of building and managing relationships with multiple departments as well as key customers.
  • Administration knowledge of F&B operations and Quality management, proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
