Position Overview
The Commercial Executive Director manages the Commercial Department on the upcoming new development and A&A works within Marina Bay Sands. The Executive Director is responsible for project estimates, maintaining live project anticipated final values, oversight on insurances, project controls and reporting. The Commercial Executive Director will advise on contractual and administrative matters as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the preparation of the project cost plans/budgets at all stages of development and update as necessary, also advise on possible cost savings as required.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly project reports encompassing project status, budget reconciliation, monthly changes and forward-looking projections of final cost and value. Reports to incorporate all aspects of the project including incorporating input from all stakeholders.
- Oversee the preparation of projected Spend Summaries (cash flows) including updating the projections to reflect actual spend and the latest forecast.
- Advise and assist in forming implementation and procurement strategies.
- Review and endorse contract recommendations.
- Review and endorse contract variations as required.
- Advise and recommend solutions for the resolution of any contractual dispute or claims including reviewing and endorsing any extension of time assessments and prolongation claims.
- Assist and oversee in the implementation, monitoring and reporting across all insurance related matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree/ Masters in Quantity Surveying or similar
- At least 20 years' experience in the construction industry preferably in a large international development or construction organization, including recent experience of similar IR projects, has an excellent understanding of Project Life Cycle including Estimating, Budgeting, Procurement, Project Delivery, and Reporting with the ability to demonstrate having successfully led the commercial and finance team from inception through to completion.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholder Executives.
- Recent experience in the Asian market would be advantages
- Regularly demonstrate good leadership behavior at all levels
- Ability to work within a constantly changing environment
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Demonstrate experience working for Developer on Client side
