Job Responsibilities
- Concept Design and Development: Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and develop projects within our Premium and Mass gaming spaces. Ensure consistency in the final product.
- Collaboration with Casino Design Team: Work closely with the Casino Design team. Contribute creative ideas and solutions for FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) and OS&C (Operating Supplies and Equipment) design challenges.
- Material and Product Selection: Participate in sourcing, selection, and presentation of accessories, materials, finishes, color palettes, and furnishings.
- Design Proposal Development: Create mood boards, sketches, and design proposals in collaboration with the Casino Design team. Use materials, concept images, and color selections to effectively convey design ideas.
- Quality Assurance: Review design drawings and packages. Review and approve samples of FF&E and OS&E items (where possible) and compare the design drawings and materials submitted before final production. Review mock-ups and implement quality checks for assigned projects.
- Documentation and Media Management: Maintain detailed project administrative records, including expenses. Assist in arranging photo and video shoots of gaming spaces/projects with Visual Media teams, ensuring compliance with clearance requirements.
- Installation: Assist the team to coordinate and oversee the installation of FF&E and OS&C items.
- Research and Site Visits: Conduct design research and competitor studies. Participate in site and factory visits to ensure compliance with approved design intent.
- Support the Director of Casino Development to execute special projects as directed in related activities.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Diploma/ Degree in Interior Design/ Product Design or related field.
Experience
- 1-3 years of luxury or hospitality interior design experience. Knowledge of casino or 5-star hospitality industries is a strong plus.
- A portfolio showcasing previous project experience in luxury hospitality, residential or design work during school as well as relevant finish palates, visualizations, and design documentation completed during internship or projects.
Other Prerequisites
- Proficiency in design software: Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp.
- Proficient in all MS Office tools – Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design principles.
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections and specifications
- Knowledge of industry and market trends.
- Exhibits a keen sense of design, conceptual flair, and a genuine passion for art.
- Takes ownership and demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility.
- Adapts well to dynamic environments and remains flexible within the organization.
- Collaborative and enjoy working in team environments
- Thrives in fast-paced, busy environments and consistently meets tight project deadlines.
