Summary of Job Responsibilities

At 44 meters in length with a voluminous interior of 147 square meters, Paiza One was custom-built by San Lorenzo, one of the award-winning yacht builders in the world. Paiza One has been designed to comfortably accommodate guests in their 5 luxuries suites, coupling with a private spa pool, sun lounge, and sky deck for sun-soaked days of pure relaxation.

Your responsibilities as an F&B Captain onboard Paiza One Yacht will include providing continuous support to the Chief and second steward(ess) by ensuring that the highest standard of service is maintained. You will be assigned to a specific station to attend to the guests’ requirements. The Ideal candidate should have prior experience managing F&B services onboard a yacht.

Job Scope:

Paiza One Operations

• Assist the Chief and second Steward(ess) by conducting pre-voyage inspections for all aspects of a safe and successful voyage
• Maintain close working relationship with the Manager on Deck for, not limited to, special cases of VIPs and service recovery/ potential issues
• Assume at all times a pleasing and helpful attitude towards each guest
• Commit to memory the comprehensive knowledge of the menu, ingredients, taste, appearance, and food preparation
• Handle and solve any concerns and questions from customers
• Act quickly and appropriately during emergencies to ensure vessel and passenger safety
• Maintain physical work area cleanliness and perform sitework duties as per the SOP

F&B Restaurant Operations

• To be responsible for operation supervision of servers and overall performance of the restaurant and where necessary, other F&B outlets
• Provide friendly, excellent service to all Guests by escorting them to their respective seats
• Direct Guests to their table and remember to scatter the Guests evenly at various stations of the restaurant
• Assist staff to perform preparation, table set up and ensure the proper handling of all operating equipment
• Handle politely and channel all telephone messages received and handle reservations.
• Supervise servers to ensure excellent customer service is provided every time
• Ensure that relevant information is communicated regularly, efficiently, and concisely to the team and Manager
• Support Assistant Manager and Department in achieving all goals and Key Performance Objectives

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Secondary school education with ‘O’ Level passes; Diploma in any field is an advantage
• Minimum 2-3 years in a guest service / guest contact role, preferably in a hospitality organization
• Possess food hygiene and safety certification
• Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends & public holidays
• Possess a well-groomed, professional appearance
• Acclimated to seasickness/ motion sickness
• Must be able to travel and enter countries worldwide without restrictions and be eligible to apply for VISAS where these are required
• Ability to remain calm and give directions in an emergency
• Having a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
