JOB SCOPE

  • Setup, Coordination, and Operation of Audio and Lighting Equipment: Responsible for setting up, coordinating, and operating audio and lighting equipment across Marquee, Avenue, Lavo, and Koma venues to ensure optimal event experiences.
  • Ensuring Workplace Safety and Health Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved in events.
  • Adherence to Work Schedule and Instructions: Follow the designated work schedule and instructions provided by the Production Manager to effectively execute tasks and meet event requirements in a timely manner.
  • Client Liaison and Event Production: Act as a liaison with clients and various departments to facilitate event production. This includes designing, supplying, installing, dismantling, and standby operations of lighting systems/equipment as per event orders, service orders, and on-site instructions.
  • Safety, Maintenance, and Inventory Control: Take responsibility for the safety, maintenance, and inventory control of lighting systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Flexibility in Work Schedule: Available to work during days, nights, public holidays, eve of public holidays, and any peak periods, as well as any shift as per the business needs and requirements to support event operations effectively.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive Experience in Lighting Design: Highly experienced Lighting Designer with vast expertise in programming, design, rigging, and operation across theatrical, nightclub, and concert lighting environments. Demonstrates a solid background in AVL services and operations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices while maintaining a secure event environment through strict compliance with health and safety regulations. Proficient in comprehending and executing lighting designs provided by designers.
  • Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Dedicated to maintaining a secure event environment by meticulously adhering to current health and safety regulations. The candidate should possess the capability to comprehend and translate lighting designs and plans provided by lighting designers effectively. Understanding of WSH regulations as they apply to events to ensure a safe working environment for all stakeholders.
  • Rigging, Focusing, and Operating Equipment: Proficiency in rigging, focusing, and operating various lighting equipment as required for events.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in rigging, focusing, and operating various lighting equipment essential for events. Skilled in programming Grand MA3 consoles and show control systems, while possessing in-depth technical knowledge of lighting equipment including brands such as Enttec ELM, ROBE, Aryton, Chauvet, and Claypaky. Capable of operating manual and computer-controlled lighting systems such as Movecat, Magic FX CO2, Grand MA Command Wing, Grand MA3, and MA-PC systems.
  • Operate Manual and Computer-Controlled Systems: Skilled in operating both manual and computer-controlled lighting systems during events, including Movecat, Magic FX CO2, Grand MA Command Wing, Grand MA3 and MA-PC systems.
  • Ability to Thrive Under High Pressure Tasks and/or Environment: Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results consistently.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Maintains lighting equipment in optimal condition through regular maintenance to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Advances: Keep abreast of advancements in audio-visual-lighting (AVL) industry technologies and techniques to incorporate the latest innovations into event setups.
  • Strong Music Knowledge: Possesses a comprehensive understanding of music across various genres, facilitating the synchronization of lighting effects with music genres such as EDM, Techno, Hardstyle, and deep house.
  • Years of Experience: Minimum of four years' experience in the audio-visual-lighting (AVL) industry, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in the field.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with team members and clients. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced event environment.
  • CAD and Schematic Drawing Knowledge: Familiarity with CAD and schematic drawings is preferred for effective planning and execution of lighting setups.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 25KG without assistance, and flexible to work various shifts including days, nights, public holidays, and peak periods as per business requirements.
  • Comprehensive AVL System Knowledge: Strong knowledge of audio-visual-lighting (AVL) systems, including their setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

  • Comfortable in Noisy Environments: Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in noisy environments commonly found in event production settings, maintaining focus and attention to detail despite surrounding noise levels.
  • Physical and Mental Stamina: Possesses the physical and mental endurance necessary to sustain productivity and focus during long working hours, ensuring consistent performance and quality output throughout extended shifts.
  • Proficiency in Computer Software: Experienced in using computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Paint for documentation and presentation purposes including knowledge of basic computer networking skills and back-end video patching for effective integration of lighting systems.
