• Be responsible for technical support, maintenance and daily operations in relation to all exhibitions at the museum (as part of a team).
• Co-ordinate and assist in the setup of exhibit components, ranging from simple environmental structures to complex visitor-interactive exhibits.
• Assist in the preparation of contractual work/quotations and proposals for Museum services team
• Prepare maintenance and SOP documentation relating to permanent and temporary exhibitions.
• Assist in liaison work with external institutions/organizations in regards to exhibitions technical support.
• Assist in setup of events and exhibition programs.
• Assist during exhibition shipment load in/out when required (night shift, when applicable)
• Other duties as directed.

• Experience working as a technician within a museum, theatre, live entertainment, or relevant sector.
• Be able to focus generic lighting fixtures
• Comfortable working at height
• Experienced in setting up basic audio systems

• Proficient in Office software; word, excel, powerpoint etc
• Good Reading comprehension skills

Desirable

• Experience programming using Helvar Lighting System / knowledge of DALI protocol
• Experience programming / operating lighting desks (e.g. GrandMA, ETC)
• Experience operating digital Sound desks (e.g. Yamaha TF1, LS9)
• Basic carpentry skills and workshop experience
• Possess Work at Height certification and Scissors lift/ Vertical platform lift operator’s license
• Experience in exhibition setup and art handling
• Preferably a Diploma in Electronics, Museum based qualifications, technical theatre / fine arts, entertainment industries
• Skills and knowledge in electronics, simple soldering and wiring.
• Experience in blending projectors, projection mapping
• Experience with Virtual Reality systems
