Summary

The Lead Engineer, IT Infrastructure Operation, is responsible for supporting the operation of network enterprise infrastructure of the entire property.

This role requires an experienced Lead Engineer with in-depth enterprise network technical expertise to support the network infrastructure services. This role must also possess the ability to communicate and collaborate with the team and various groups such as vendors, project managers, management, business-unit leaders.

 

 

JOB SCOPE

 

  • An instrumental part of the network operation team responsible for the network and security infrastructure components in all data centers and ELV rooms
  • Lead the Network / Security services to support 24x7 business operation provides timely remote/on-site support on critical network/security infrastructure issues during and after office hours
  • Lead in the support, staging, and configuring network/security equipment following established configuration standards, hardening, and best practices
  • Leading the team to support and maintain network/security risk and remediation
  • Lead the support to the IT lower-level support team in resolving network and security issues Report, track, and actively monitor and remediate malicious network activity, security vulnerabilities
  • Lead in the planning, designing, and deployment of various network solutions as part of Infrastructure service
  • Ensure established operation processes are followed and participate in regular process reviews
  • Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for various network requirements
  • Escalate any unresolved issues to the management in a timely manner
  • Participate in service standards updates and ensure services adhere to the defined SLAs
  • Support project team and vendor in implementing new solutions and enhancements
  • Work with Corporate Team on latest technologies and processes to improve the overall security of the network infrastructure
  • Maintain and ensure timely update, maintenance of network infrastructure documentation, upkeep of knowledge base, and disaster recovery document.
  • Support multiple projects throughout the lifecycle, manage conflicting priorities, deliverables, and schedules
  • Identify and implement improvements on operational monitors to measure network performance and capacity metrics
  • Maintain and take full ownership of change, service, and incident tickets through their lifecycle, ensure all elements of the process are implemented and operationally managed

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Degree in Information Technology or Security-related curriculum preferred.
  • Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Formal training and certification in Network & Security Management & Design.
  • Subject matter experience with network security, firewall configuration, network access control and management, switching and routing configuration, and wireless infrastructure
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in network and security support
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as network and security team leader
  • Self-starter, experienced leading a workgroup for network/security services
  • Experience in network hardware/software troubleshooting/performance tuning
  • Subject matter experience in network security, firewall support, maintenance & troubleshooting support
  • Subject matter experience in vulnerability assessment and remediation
  • Experience supporting and maintaining a medium to large-scale enterprise network
  • Subject matter experience in multi-vendor products - HP, Cisco, Brocade routers and switches, Proxy Appliances, Load Balancer, Firewall, Network Security Appliances, and wireless controllers
  • Strong experience with cross-vendor network security products, Antivirus, Security Information Management Tool, Vulnerability scanning, SIEM and Log Management, Network enforcement tools
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the current trends in enterprise engineering in network security design & implementation
  • Leading in critical incident recovery and situation reporting
  • Organized and able to handle multiple tasks and follow up to drive for timely closure
  • Excellent communication with stakeholders and senior management members
  • Demonstrated advanced technical skills in supporting enterprise network infrastructure operation, current and emerging technologies, and collaboration skills to work with diversified workgroups
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload - good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player as well as an independent performer
  • Possess a high-level understanding of essential, network and security design concepts & good working knowledge of IT policies, SOP, Procedures, Audit, and Statutory requirements
